Are you friendly & outgoing and looking to volunteer at an exciting event?  Vivid Sydney at Chatswood is back, and Willoughby City Council is looking for event volunteers to assist at art installations and enhance the experience for visitors.  This may involve providing information to members of the public, approaching visitors to engage them in the art, providing guidance on how to interact with the art installations, and queue management.

If you are enthusiastic, friendly and reliable, with great customer service skills, the ability to work well as part of a team then we would love to hear from you.  A good level of fitness is required as volunteers will be on their feet for extended periods of time (although you are able to take breaks as required).  The ability to speak a second language is beneficial, but not essential.  There is wheelchair access and we welcome volunteers using wheelchairs.  This role is suitable for anyone looking to support a world class event in their community.  A great opportunity to gain experience in events, as well as to contribute to our community and make friends whilst you do it!

Due to the evening nature of this event, shift times run between 5:30pm – 10:30pm.  Please note shifts may finish earlier than 10:30pm, especially on quieter nights.  This decision will be made by the Event Manager on the night.  Volunteers may also be able to start slightly later than 5:30pm by prior arrangement if necessary.   Vivid Sydney at Chatswood runs from 24 May – 15 June.  Volunteers are asked to commit to three shifts during the festival period.

Attendance at a briefing session prior to the start of the event is **compulsory.

Evidence of completion of volunteering can be provided if requested.

Volunteers must be aged 18 or over.
