Volunteering SA&NT is the peak body for volunteering in South Australia and the Northern Territory. The Volunteer ASSIST Officer Team provides a key service by linking volunteers to roles and organisations.

Through the interview process, you will identify suitable roles based on an individual's interests and assist them to find suitable volunteering positions. This is a great opportunity to utilise your advanced interpersonal skills and knowledge of the volunteering and not for profit sector.

We have the knowledge and expertise to provide a credible and informed voice in volunteering. We work with volunteers and volunteer involving organisations to enrich the volunteering experience and increase volunteering.

You won't be stuck in the office all the time. You will gain knowledge and expertise to go out and promote volunteering through presentations at schools, TAFE, universities, Immigration SA, Defence Force/Community, and other organisations.

This is a rewarding role as it provides one on one personal service to people looking to engaging with their community in meaningful way and you will also become the face of VSA&NT through going out and promoting volunteering to the community.

Role requirements:

  • High level verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in public speaking
  • Competent computer skills and ability to navigate a database
  • Patient and non-judgemental attitude
  • An interest in working with diverse groups of people
  • Previous experience in interviewing people is desirable
  • Willingness to learn about the roles of volunteer involving organisations and their volunteer requirements
  • National Police Check
