Would you like to play with the young – and young at heart? Our new Inter-generational Playgroup at Carmelite Residential Care, is looking for volunteers to mix in and encourage ‘play’ between our residents, children and their parents. Some residents may be limited as to how much they can interact with the children but will get a lot of joy just from watching the children playing and having fun. You’ll be the right kind of person who will ensure everyone has a great time as we’d like everyone’s playgroup experience to be a positive one. We are looking for volunteers to assist us during school terms, 10am to 11.30am on Wednesdays.
This volunteer role involves:

• Interacting with children, parents and residents
• Helping staff to facilitate the sessions
• Play! The role would suit someone studying child care, early childhood education or with experience in this field.
