Our aged care communities located at multiple locations are looking for individual performers or small musical groups who would like to play old time favourites, hymns or classical pieces of music. Volunteer Musicians can play for individual residents or in a group setting if preferred.

Volunteer musicians contribute to a therapeutic and comforting environment. Listening to music reduces levels of anxiety and pain, improves awareness and concentration and creates enjoyment and smiles for all those who are involved.

This role is suitable for people who can play a musical instrument, have well developed interpersonal skills, good communication skills and display a calm and empathetic manner. Volunteering is a wonderful way to make a difference in the lives of our senior residents while making friends, having fun and learning new skills.
