The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of QArt Studio and Gallery.

Do you have art skills - drawing, painting in various mediums and ceramic knowledge? We are looking for volunteers who are able to commit to attending one day a week on an ongoing basis to assist and work alongside our disabled adult artists.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Assist studio supervisor / manager with disabled artists' art work production
• Work alongside artists to assist with ideas, material choice, colour choice, art material application

Skills and Experience:

• Art skills are essential - drawing, painting in various mediums, ceramic knowledge preferable
• Good communication skills
• Ability and desire to work with disability (not severe disability - mainly intellectual)
• Commitment to attend one day a week (or part of) on an ongoing regular basis
• Acceptance that a volunteer role will not lead to employment
