The Residency Museum is a key heritage attraction located within York town site and was the official residence of York’s early magistrates. The building is housed within part of the old York Convict Depot. This is an award winning cultural attraction and has a number of educational displays with a focus on local history. The Museum is vested in and managed by Shire of York.

Your duties would include:

• Following opening and closing procedures,
• Meeting and greeting visitors, • Assisting with public enquiries, collecting information for further follow-up, • General up keep of collection displays and museum, • Receive entry fees, donations and sales for shop merchandise, • Recording of visitor figures, • Assist with special events, visiting groups if on allocated duty day,

You will receive a full induction and ongoing support from our staff plus the opportunity to learn new skills. You will need to commit to attending in house training sessions and team meetings (maximum 4 per year).

In this role you will be working both alone and with others.
