Provide weekly or fortnightly shared reading group activity for tenants at Common Ground.  Tenants come from a variety of backgrounds including homelessness.

A shared reading group is a relaxed space for people to read a short story, poem or part of a book aloud, reflect and discuss.

Get involved with:

• preparing and facilitating weekly/fortnightly reading group activities
• facilitation of reading group activities using techniques learned in "Shared Reading Facilitating Training"
• actively supporting, encouraging and engaging participants

Seeking individuals with:

• experience in leading reading groups and/or teaching literacy programs
• ability to actively encourage, support and recognize all forms of participation
• ability to work with vulnerable adults (previous experience desirable)
