Do you enjoy going on bus trips? Our Jacobs Court Aged Care Community at Sinnamon Park are seeking expressions of interest from people who would like to be involved with assisting residents on their weekly bus trips and keeping them company while travelling.

Outings Assistants help us with:

• Gathering residents from their rooms.
• Assisting residents on and off the bus.
• Making sure residents are safe while on the bus (wearing seat belts etc.).
• Assist in supervising residents while they are out in the community.
• Reporting any feedback through to the workplace supervisor. • Ensuring positive interactions with residents so they can maintain an enriched lifestyle.
• Assist with the serving of refreshments under staff guidance.
• Enjoying a fun filled day!

Please note: No personal care work is involved in this role.

Volunteers are currently required at the following times: First three Tuesdays of each month 9am till 4pm (Approximately) Volunteering can be organised on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.

This role is suitable for people who have well developed interpersonal skills and a caring and empathetic manner. It’s a great way to make a difference in the lives of our seniors while making friends, having fun and learning new skills.
