We currently have a number of volunteer positions available for Peer Support Volunteers in Brisbane.  Our Peer Support Volunteers visit selected treatment facilities to provide peer support to patients and family members affected by cancer.

You will have had your own personal experience with cancer, either as a patient or carer, and be able to draw upon your strong sense of empathy to provide a listening ear, emotional support and the ability to link people to CCQ information and support services.

People who have had personal experience with cancer are encouraged to apply. Some roles will be specifically for people who have personal experience of specific cancers.

Volunteers for these roles will need to complete a CCQ Peer Support Volunteer Induction Training and be willing to have relevant vaccinations. The start date for this role is September after successfully completing the required training.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
