OneCare volunteers have the opportunity to support our residents and staff in a range of ways. Depending on your interests and skills, your day may involve helping clients with their weekly shopping, washing or ironing, running errands, gardening or bus driving. You’ll also have the chance to support residents in our Lifestyle and Leisure programs, which can include crafts, music, discussion groups, games or outings. Often, volunteering is as simple and important as taking the time to go for a stroll with someone and have a chat.

The Leisure and Lifestyle unit offers client’s the opportunity to be involved in multiple activities, both at the independent facility and inter-facility participation.

Position Purpose: The Volunteer’s purpose is to assist the organisation to allow OneCare to provide an increased range of opportunities and activities to ensure the client’s enjoyment of life.

Please Note: As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the level of coverage for volunteers due to various restrictions to ensure they are covered for the roles they will be undertaking.
