YOUR NEW FAMILY: Orange Sky Australia, founded in 2014 by friends Lucas Patchett and Nicholas Marchesi, is a not-for-profit organisation providing free mobile laundry and shower services to people experiencing homelessness. Through a network of 28 vans and 1400+ amazing volunteers, our services are now positively connecting communities all around Australia.

YOUR NEW ROLE: As a general volunteer for the Social Impact Washing program, you will be part of a small team who will share a weekly or fortnightly roster for our Social Impact Washing shifts. You will work along side another volunteer to teach, support & supervise the 'friend' selected for our 13 week program. This will include operating our van and doing laundry for our Social Impact Washing customers.

• Weekly or fortnightly shift commitment
• Work & train a Friend on how to use the washing equipment, record washing received and some customer service.
• Communicating shift reports and incidents to our management team
• First-aid qualification or willing to obtain one
• Must be willing to drive our van (normal licence)

To be successful, you will be organised, great with people, and have a genuine passion for helping others. You will be able to communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.

Requirements: We are looking for candidates who have up to 3-4 hours per week or fortnight to commit to Orange Sky. To be successful, you will be smart with technology, very organised and great with people and have a genuine passion to help others. First-aid qualification or willing to obtain one (costs covered by OSA).
