NECA is a community based program in Darebin, Banyule, Nillumbik and Whittlesea which creates a one-on-one relationship between a person with an intellectual disability and a volunteer.

A middle-aged gentleman with a great sense of humor and a mild intellectual disability living in group home would benefit from a volunteer who can help him speak-up for his rights, as he has no family or informal supports.

He lives an active life and loves meeting and spending time with people

A volunteer would only need a few hours a month to dedicate to helping him reach his fullest potential.

Full support is provided throughout your role, therefore you don't need any special qualifications or experience, just a keen interest to help
