Volunteers are needed to help Seniors in their homes, by providing companionship while undertaking some light housekeeping.

About the Role:

• Engage in social interaction with clients (e.g. chat with them and have a cup of tea)
• Safely carry out light domestic activities including:

Vacuuming, Dusting, Sweeping and/or mopping floors, Washing and drying dishes, Hanging on and/or taking washing off the line, Folding clothes, Wiping kitchen benches, Making beds

• Cook a meal
• Provide transport locally
• Share an activity (ie. watching a movie, playing a game)
• Document your visits
• Advise the Volunteer Manager of any concerns regarding the client
• Attend Volunteer meetings and training sessions as required
• Volunteers are required Monday-Friday, for a minimum two hour shift, between the hours of 9am and 5pm

About You:

• Willingness to undergo a Police Check
• Commitment to treating others with dignity, courtesy and respect
• A friendly personality
• Compliance to Organisation’s Principles, Code of Conduct, WHS and confidentiality requirements
