What will you be doing?

• performing day-to-day maintenance and gardening tasks at Old Government House and Experiment Farm Cottage
• Performing conservation works such as basic repairs to the House and/or furnishings under supervision
• Maintenance and repair of outbuildings and fences, and repairing or fabricating basic props or furniture for use inside museums
• Performing grounds work e.g. mowing lawns, pruning gardens, weeding, laying mulch, maintaining edging and paved areas, sweeping and raking leaves, and occasionally creating new plantings
• During exhibitions, you may wish to assist with fabricating cabinets and display cases, hanging pictures, moving furniture and installing objects for display
• If you prefer, you can choose to work in either Grounds or Maintenance, or across both areas.
