Are you a handy person and like to fix things?

Our Parkview Aged Care Community at Chermside is currently recruiting people who are interested in volunteering one morning a week to assist our onsite maintenance team to complete general tasks around the community. These tasks may include assisting with event set up, hanging pictures, labelling equipment, maintaining plants and other simple odd jobs.

This volunteering role would suit a retired trades person who enjoys physical work is self-motivated and can work independently. In this role it is essential to be able to interact positively with residents, families, staff and other volunteers working in the community.

Previous experience with basic maintenance tasks is desirable One morning or afternoon a week is the requirement of this role to be organised with supervisor.

Our Parkview Aged Care residents enjoy a resort style community with expansive outdoor gardens, children’s playgrounds and BBQ areas that can be enjoyed by residents, families and friends. It is a lovely, welcoming and rewarding place to volunteer where you will meet many wonderful people and learn great new skills that may assist you both personally and professionally.
