Safe Pets Safe Families are looking for a Foster Care Coordinator. This position is voluntary. You will be the coordinator and first point of contact for all fosters within the Safe Pets Safe Families organisation. You will be required to liaise with the Case Manager Coordinator and Case managers to arrange suitable care for each animal that comes into our organisation. You will also be required to report to the Chief Executive Officer and meet with the resident counselor on a regular basis. Responsibilities: • Oversee the wellbeing of our foster carers • Process foster carer applications including contacting referees • Recruit new foster carers to the group • Maintain Foster Carer Facebook page including posting positive stories, welcomes, thank you posts etc. Monitoring membership and posts from foster carers • Resolve conflicts within the foster carer group • Assist carers to resolve any difficulties that they may be having within the organization • Maintain records relating to foster carers and the pets that are in their care • Provide regular reports to the CEO (weekly) and the board (monthly) or as requested • Assist with training foster carers as required • Working in conjunction with the volunteer co-ordinator, organise transport needs eg. Pets in and out of care, to vet and food deliveries if necessary • Organise yard checks of potential foster carers
