A leading not for profit organisation that provides various support programs to young people, is seeking Volunteers for their Youth Mentoring Program. The Program works with high school students, aged between 12 and 16, across Western and South West Sydney. The program is designed to build young people’s skills, capacity and community connectedness.

About The Role:

Mentors support a local high school student (who is thoughtfully matched to the mentor) through 35 hours of individual and group mentoring. The majority of this will be conducted face to face, for a minimum of two hours per week, over two school terms. The mentor will support and discuss the mentee’s ideas for future plans for their post school journey. This support may include discussions on career direction, further study and other options. Full training and ongoing support is provided.

About You:

You must have an engaging personality that connects easily with young people and a passion to help our young people work on a community project and develop a healthy post school journey. You must be available to commit to the full 6 month Program, for a minimum of 2 hours per week.

If you are a natural mentor, are passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people and are ready for a challenge, we would love to hear from you!

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
