Multiple Sclerosis is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program – the Community Visitors Scheme (CVS). Volunteer visitors share stories, go for a stroll or have a cuppa, listen to music or play a game. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged care home or their own home through ongoing friendship.

We have an elderly  gentlemen in NEWPORT Victoria who would benefit from the friendship of a MATURE MALE VISITOR mid-50's+ in age who can visit during the week. He would benefit from 1:1 chats and going for a walk around the Aged Care Facility

You need to be warm, caring, understanding of the individual traits of an elderly person, reliable and be willing to commit to at least fortnightly visits for a minimum of 12 months.

Good English communication skills are required however volunteers with other languages willing to be matched to same language recipients very welcome.
