We are looking for a volunteer who has experience in growing and maintaining a kitchen garden and can share their skills and knowledge whilst supporting our participants to be actively involved in the process. As a volunteer you will need to be able to communicate with a diverse range of people, be able to share your knowledge with people who have different skills and abilities, work with people in a respectful manner and be supportive and encouraging.

All volunteers will need to undertake a national police check and a DWES check which we will carry out.

A full induction will be provided and there will be no personal care involved in the role.

At OC Connections we encourage and support people to be involved in a wide range of activities based on life goals and personal interests. Our Day Support program offers activities that can teach everyday life skills, like cooking or how to get fit and healthy, provide access to community clubs or offer the opportunity to explore favorite hobbies, liking dancing or art. We create and provide an environment where participants can feel safe, respected and valued. Individual strengths are identified and independence is encouraged to ensure everyone can learn and develop to a level that is right for them.
