Induction training and peer support
Computer Literate, experience in researching information via the internet and other sources. Must have own computer if working from home.
Time commitment flexible - negotiated with the Secretary, Pearns Steam World. Can be short or long term position.
Whilst Working with Vulnerable People and Police Check are not essential would be seen as an advantage.
In this role you will: Research history, manufacture, and provenance of items in the museum collection through internet, libraries, local people, archives and other museums Information would include stories of where and how such items were used. This information will be important in the production of interpretive displays.
This role could be undertaken away from the museum, but with close liaison maintained with the Secretary, Pearns Steam World. A computer is available on site.
