Green Gym is a free outdoor program in Western Sydney, to help improve health and wellbeing by reducing stress and being active.

You will spend time with other volunteers during a three-hour session where you can take time out for yourself in a social setting and be guided in light garden maintenance and nursery activities, located in the beautiful surrounds of the Auburn Botanic Gardens precinct.  Originally designed for carers, the program welcomes any one to attend who cares for another in any small way.  This is a great opportunity to learn new skills, foster mental wellbeing and help improve the environment while being active in nature.

What's involved? Each session starts with a safety briefing and session overview, followed by a warm up before getting into the day’s tasks. Mid-session you will break for refreshments and a healthy snack. Activities will continue until it is time to cool down before wrapping up the session. You’ll have the opportunity to enjoy the tranquil settings with a like-minded group of people as you go at your own pace – take it as easy or make it more challenging, it’s up to you!

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
