Volunteers are asked to begin their shift 30 minutes prior to opening and to finish once they have completed their duties. We open from 1pm to 9 pm on Monday to Friday, 5:30pm to 9pm on Saturday.

A buddy shift system where new volunteers are placed with experienced volunteers.

Persons must have good communication skills; able to work in a team; be reliable and on time; have experience working with money.

Provide a pastorally caring environment for seafarers; greet seafarers as they arrive; exchange money as needed; operate cash register; stock shelves and fridge as needed; monitor free tea and coffee station and replace stock as needed; keep the centre clean by washing the dishes as needed.
Additional on the last shift of the day. Make sure the doors are locked, money is counted, check safe and office locked and secured; fill out volunteer logbook.
