YOUR NEW FAMILY: Orange Sky Australia, founded in 2014 by friends Lucas Patchett and Nicholas Marchesi, is a not-for-profit organisation providing free mobile laundry and shower services to people experiencing homelessness. Through a network of 28+ vans and 1300+ amazing volunteers, our services are now positively connecting communities all around Australia.

YOUR NEW ROLE: The Assistant Vehicle Manager is fundamental in supporting our two Vehicle Managers in maintaining one of the most important aspects of Orange Sky Australia - the vans. Collectively these roles will be the first point of contact for troubleshooting any issues or faults with the vans, responsible for transporting the vans for repairs and maintenance. It would be advantageous if you have experience in minor vehicle repairs and vehicle maintenance (in-depth mechanical knowledge or skill is NOT required for this role).

It is also the Vehicle Managers & Assistant Vehicle Manager's shared responsibility to complete the weekly van checklist to ensure the van is always safe, clean and well stocked.  This role will also stand in when Vehicle Managers might be on leave.  This could be a few hours a week to start while being trained, but could be 4-5hrs per week at peak times.

One van is based in Norwood & the other is based in Brahma Lodge.
