Schools Indigenous Education Program Coordinator (BVSB-6970)

St Oswald's Anglican Church

The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of St Oswald's Anglican Church.

St. Oswald’s Anglican Church in Glen Iris is a community based parish that embraces and cares for people of all ages, and has a vision to thrive as a welcoming Christian church community. We have a plan to grow the many community-based activities, which are not of a specifically religious nature, in which we are involved, and are looking for the help of like-minded volunteers to give a little of their time and expertise to enable us to achieve this. The Wominjeka Reconciliation Garden, located next to St. Oswald’s Church in High Street Glen Iris, is on the sovereign country of the Wurrindjeri people of the Kulin nation: the land where the Wurundjeri people gathered and celebrated their stories, songs and dances passed on by their ancestors, and the Great Spirit of the Dreaming, over countless generations. We believe that this is still their land. This space holds the dreaming of ancient and new cultures, promising a renewed respectful Australia.
