Experience in caring for cats is beneficial but not essential.
Ability to use Initiative and able to work independently.
A quiet and safe place big enough to place a large large dog crate.
Time and patience to spend with cats and kittens
Current vaccination certificates for all animals living on the premises of the volunteer.
Police Check and if required a medical check for fitness for duties.

Provide shelter, care, food and enrichment to cats and kittens under the care of Just Cats Inc.
Maintain a safe, clean environment to cats and kittens in a warm loving environment with little or no stress. Tasks will include; Preparing meals for cats including specialty dietary requirements, Providing a clean and safe space in your home for cats and kittens that includes emptying litter trays, changing bedding and food and water bowls, Provide enrichment to cats through physical interaction and ensuring a stimulating environment, Daily monitoring of young kittens to ensure weight gain and ensure all medical and milestone records are recorded, Ensure all paperwork is emailed on time to Shelter Manager/Foster Care Co-ordinator, Monitor and maintain the general health and well-being of cats in care and report any concerns to the Foster Care Co-ordinator/Shelter Manager, Be available to take cats and kittens to the vet (once approved) if required, Other tasks on occasion with mutual agreement between Just Cats and the Volunteer Foster Carer.
