BRIGHT SPARKS LEARNING CLUB
Liverpool Volunteer Resource CentreBright Sparks creates a fun learning space where children from refugee backgrounds are given an opportunity to build their confidence and develop friendships. We do this by providing a reliable and consistent after school program where primary aged children engage in a range of games and activities with peers and community Volunteers.
We need enthusiastic, energetic and positive Volunteers who bring a sense of fun to activities. Volunteers need to be patient, approachable and sensitive to cross cultural issues and challenges. A team oriented attitude, commitment and reliability and sound knowledge of English are expected from all our Volunteers.
Essential:
- Attend full day of training on Wednesday 2nd October 2019
- Commitment of at least two school terms or 6 months
- Must be willing to travel to either Fairfield, Liverpool or Guildford
- Our programs are scheduled on specific days each week. Please only apply if you are free on the specific day for the scheduled school. Schedule is as follows: Monday Liverpool and Guildford, Thursday Liverpool West and Fairfield. Sessions are from 3pm–4.30pm
- As this is a child-related Volunteer position, you will be required to undergo background checks, including referee checks, a National Police Check and completion of the Working with Children Check
