YOUR NEW FAMILY: Orange Sky Australia, founded in 2014 by friends Lucas Patchett and Nicholas Marchesi, is a not-for-profit organisation providing free mobile laundry and shower services to people experiencing homelessness. Through a network of 26 vans and 1500 amazing volunteers, our services are now positively connecting communities all around Australia.

YOUR NEW ROLE: As the Service Manager for your region, you will be the first point of contact for all volunteers in your team. You will play an instrumental role in equipping volunteers with the tools and resources they need to deliver a service that follows the standards and culture of Orange Sky Australia. As the service manager, you will also have the opportunity to grow and expand our services to help as many of our friends on the street as possible! This role is very flexible and can be achieved mostly at home with the occasional shift on the van to spend some quality time with your volunteers. Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Volunteer coordination, including rostering, recruiting and training.
• Incident management
• Growth and expansion of the service
• Representation at events
• Visit shifts

ABOUT YOU: We are looking for candidates who have up to 15-20 hours per week to give back to the community through volunteering with Orange Sky. To be successful, you will be really organised, great with people, and have a genuine passion for helping others. You will be able to manage a team of over 50 volunteers, maintain accurate rosters and records, communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds, and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
