The Event Manager will ensure the smooth running of Transitions Film Festival screenings. You will help to recruit, induct and manage event assistants and photographers. You will also have the opportunity to liaise with special guests and partners and introduce films and speakers.

Whilst this is a voluntary position, it requires a strong level of commitment and dedication.

Tasks may include

• Recruiting, inducting, and managing 'on-the-day' event volunteers and photographers
• Assisting with preparation of  run sheets
• Managing event volunteers and smooth running of post-film Q&A discussions
• Liaising with, and providing hospitality for, sponsors and guests
• Ensuring that events run to time
• Ensuring that partner requirements are met and managing event logistics
• May also include opportunities to attend radio and other media interviews, acting on behalf of the festival
• Managing of the daily bump in and bump out and set up of Transitions Film Festival banners, and other materials.
• Introducing speakers and possibly moderating panels if needed

YOUR SKILLS, TALENTS AND PASSIONS

• You are a friendly, enthusiastic and dependable people-person with a passion for film and environmental and social impact and an insatiable desire to share big, exciting ideas and make the world a better place
• You have previous event management, coordination and or production experience
• You have strong written and verbal communications skills, public speaking experience and previous festival or events experience
