Writing short articles on gardening topics

Sustainable Gardening Australia

The task involves sourcing material about growing and using native Australian/indigenous food plants, preferably by interviewing experts such as horticulturalists, chefs, professional gardeners and writing short articles based on this information. These interviews could be conducted by phone. Photographic material to support articles might need to be obtained, but could be obtained using a mobile phone camera. The articles would then be used for publication on the Sustainable Gardening Australia website. An example of such an article about Davidson's Plum can be found on the website

Although attendance at the SGA office would be required at least occasionally, interviews and writing could be done from home.

A volunteer should have writing skills which can be demonstrated through either already written material (any topic) or a degree/certificate in writing or journalism. They should also have an interest in gardening and environmental protection.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
