mecwacare has an opportunity for a long-term volunteer to take part in and organise a men's group, whilst providing valued social support to our aged care residents in Hopper's Crossing.

Our Residential Facilities offer a range of lifestyle programs, giving older people the opportunity to participate in different types of recreational and social activities. The activities are planned with the participants to ensure their needs and interests are met, and are designed to maintain independence and enhance the quality of life for the participants and their carers.

Volunteering with our social support programs will enable you to work alongside our qualified staff who will offer you guidance and mentoring, while fulfilling your desire to support older people to live and age well in the community. Activities may include outings, gentle exercise, entertainers, music, craft, guest speakers, quizzes and discussions.
