Providing communication assistance to people with intellectual disability and other cognitive disability who are involved in the criminal justice system at police stations, legal appointments and court houses. Currently recruiting in the following regional areas: Central Coast, Batemans Bay/Bega area, Broken Hill and Dubbo, Western Sydney - Penrith area as well as Moree and Bourke

Roles are available across all court houses and police stations in these areas.

Court supports can be anytime between 9am and 4pm Monday to Fridays; Police station supports can be anytime between 9am and 10pm. All times are negotiable and are dependant on availability.

Training will be held on two days, dates and places TBA. Prospective volunteers must be available to attend both days.

Benefits: Meaningful volunteer role. Providing support that really makes a difference to the individuals we support. This is also a very flexible role as there are no set days. You are offered work as it comes in and you can accept or decline.
