This is an opportunity to make a personal and positive change in your community providing English language tuition and practice to migrants and refugees who are eligible for the AMEP (Adult Migrant English Program).

VOLUNTEER TUTORS CAN EXPECT:

• Free Online training: A Course in Volunteer English Language Tutoring, including tasks to develop cross-cultural awareness and assist students with their settlement needs
• One-to-one tutorial skills
• Ongoing support from the Volunteer Tutor Scheme Coordinator and TAFE NSW AMEP
• Monthly newsletter
• Free access to TAFE NSW AMEP interactive resources such as Worldwide English.
• Job satisfaction

Sessions run for 1-2 hours per week, on a day and time flexible to suit your availability. Volunteer Tutors can choose to support a student online or face to face in this flexible program.

Requirements: National Police Check (conducted by AMEP TAFE)
