The volunteer Activity Assistant will work closely with the Positive Ageing staff to oversee a new canasta card group for beginners that will take place on a weekly basis. Experience with the game and an ability to help others learn how to play canasta is necessary.

The role involves-

• Assisting with setting up and packing down the cards, tables and chairs (some lifting required);
• Registration- recording attendance,
• Welcoming, socialising and settling in clients and giving directions such as where the toilets and exits are;
• Setting up morning or afternoon tea;
