Ronald McDonald House Charities Victoria & Tasmania is a not for profit dedicated to providing a 'home away from home' for families with a seriously ill child undergoing specialist paediatric care. We have 4 Ronald McDonald Houses at Hobart, Monash, North Fitzroy and Parkville, all with bedrooms, communal kitchens, dining, living areas, playrooms and outside lounge and play areas. We also operate Ronald McDonald Family Rooms at Monash, Northern, Sunshine and Wodonga Hospitals to provide respite for families off the ward, including showers, laundry facilities, nap rooms and kitchens.

The role of the House Helper volunteer is to assist us in providing a clean, welcoming and comfortable environment for the families staying at the House. House Helpers will report to the House Manager to ensure the facilities are kept clean and are well maintained.

Key responsibilities include general tidying, dusting and light cleaning of common family areas, including lounge rooms and play rooms, refilling and checking stocks of supplies in kitchen, bathroom and laundry areas, preparing and maintaining rooms and ensuites for families and reporting back any issues with the House facilities to staff

House Helpers are needed seven days a week at all of our houses.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
