Swimming Coordinator - Ovens and Murray (Wodonga)
Special Olympics Australia - National OfficeSpecial Olympics Australia is a not-for-profit organisation that provides regular sports training, competition opportunities and development programs for people with an intellectual disability across Australia.
Special Olympics Ovens & Murray is currently looking for a swimming coordinator. 20 athletes are involved in the swimming program at present with plans to increase this number. We are seeking an experienced person with previous sport administration or coaching experience with the ability to support our swimming coaches by undertaking various administration tasks such as :
- Maintain attendance record of athletes
- Collecting and banking fees paid by attendees
- Completing and processing entries for carnivals as they arise including fees payable
- Assist coaches record and maintain a record of each athletes achievements
- Liaise with club and provide relative communication to coaches and Club Senior Sports Coordinator
- Provide a link with the respective Pool owners or administrators
- Contributing to Club newsletter on athletes achievements
Desirable:
• Previous coaching experience • Experience working within a disability setting • Knowledge of Special Olympics Australia and programs
Essential:
Basic computer/spreadsheet skills essential for record keeping and event entry
