Group61 - Social Media, Marketing and Events Volunteers, Chermside
Wesley Mission QueenslandGroup61 is a volunteer mental health befriending program. Friends (people with a lived experience of mental illness) and volunteers meet regularly with the aim of reducing social isolation and as self-confidence and trust grow through their friendship, individuals are supported to rebuild social connections within their community.
Group61 supports people who are experiencing: • Mental Health issues and/or illness and are socially isolated
Group61 helps people to: • Actively participate in society by building social connections • Improve quality of life and self-confidence • Build and improve life skills.
Group61 is looking for a person experienced in Social Media, Marketing and Events to volunteer alongside paid staff to provide complementary support to enhance their online social media profile.
Duties will include
- Supporting Group61's Facebook page
- Developing flyers for social events
- Developing flyers for training events
- Developing an events planning tool
- Supporting planning for future events
- Creating an events calendar for 2019.
Various shifts are available Monday to Friday in working hours. We are flexible with your availability.
A commitment to the role is required.
