Multiple Sclerosis is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program – the Community Visitors Scheme (CVS). Volunteer visitors share stories, go for a stroll or have a cuppa, listen to music or play a game. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged care home or their own home through ongoing friendship.

We have an engaging gentlemen in a aged care facility in Yarraville who would benefit from the friendship of a MALE VISITOR. He enjoys playing games, on his iPad, watching the footy and loves pets as well as engaging in 1:1 conversation. Dogs are allowed to visit too.

You need to be warm, caring, reliable and be willing to commit to at least fortnightly visits for a minimum of 12 months.

Good English communication skills required however volunteers with other languages willing to be matched to same language recipients are welcome to enquire about community visiting.
