YOUR NEW FAMILY: Orange Sky Australia, founded in 2014 by friends Lucas Patchett and Nicholas Marchesi, is a not-for-profit organisation providing free mobile laundry and shower services to people experiencing homelessness. Through a network of 28+ vans and 1300+ amazing volunteers, our services are now positively connecting communities all around Australia.

YOUR NEW ROLE: The Assistant Vehicle Manager is fundamental to maintaining one of the most important aspects of Orange Sky Australia - the van. The Assistant Vehicle Manager will help out with routine maintenance and small repairs alongside the Vehicle Manager. Together you will be the first point of contact for troubleshooting any issues or faults with the van, and also responsible for transporting the van for repairs and maintenance. It would be advantageous if you have experience in minor vehicle repairs and vehicle maintenance (in-depth mechanical knowledge or skill is NOT required for this role).

It is also the Vehicle Manager & Assistant Vehicle Manager's shared responsibility to complete the weekly van checklist to ensure the van is always safe, clean and well stocked. These roles will work alongside the Service Manager and will work closely with our volunteers to make sure they are well resourced every week.The time requirement for this role is approx. 4-5 hrs per week on average.
