Do you love tending to plants and being out and about in the garden?

Wesley Mission Queensland’s Jacobs Court Aged Care Community at Sinnamon Park is currently seeking people with a keen interest in plants and gardening to assist with the residents gardening club once a month. This group activity includes watering, weeding, planting and general maintenance of the outside courtyard. There are many residents who enjoy gardening, so developing friendships, sharing garden experiences and encouraging residents to participate is beneficial for all involved.

Jacobs Court Garden Club runs from 9am until 1pm every 4th Monday of the month.

This role is suitable for people who enjoy gardening and have well developed interpersonal skills and a caring and empathetic manner. It’s a great way to make a difference in the lives of our seniors while making friends, having fun and learning new skills.

Jacobs Court is a welcoming and rewarding community to volunteer. You will meet many wonderful people and learn great new skills that may assist you both personally and professionally.
