For more than Fifty years, we've been supporting people with disability and mental health concerns; and those who are aged, people at risk of homelessness, humanitarian entrants, youth, and Indigenous Australians.

Do you have 8 hours per month, 2 hours per week or 4 per fortnight to befriend someone experiencing social isolation? Together you will enjoy social activities, such as meeting for coffee, going for a walk or connecting to the local community and also provide reassurance to help reach their potential and get the most out of life.

Your friendship can make a big difference to your new friend’s quality of life, and help reduce the stigma associated with mental illness.

We accept volunteer applications from people aged 18 or older. We match people based on gender and age, and are currently seeking male and female volunteers in this region and we provide training and ongoing support for volunteers.

We encourage people with lived experience of mental health issues and an understanding of the challenged in overcoming social isolation to apply.
