Community Visitor Scheme Volunteers who can speak various community languages

As Volunteer Visitor you will visit a resident living either in their own private home or in an Aged Care Facility to provide company and companionship to the person whom has been identified as being lonely or socially isolated. Your visits can involve partaking in activities you both enjoy such as reading, listening to music, playing a game, chatting or going for a walk or outing. Volunteer Visitors are needed across the Kingston/Bayside/Glen Eira region who can meet much needed languages besides English such as; Italian, Greek, Russian, Arabic, Croatian, Sri Lankan, Hindi, Polish. Where possible we match you with a resident in your local area. The Community Visitor Scheme is a Government funded program and we ask that you be able to commit to visiting for up to 1 hr once a fortnight as a minimum (but you can visit more often if you like) for 12 months or more.
