These volunteer roles encompass a variety of Ward Services and Special Services activities including • Guides (Assisting patients / visitors to find destinations in the hospital and sections of Flinders Private Hospital • Concierge Roles (Various specialty areas provide support of patient in the waiting areas) • Elderlife (one on one support / Diversional Therapy activities for the elderly) • Endoscopy (providing support and refreshments in a day procedure unit) • Eye Clinic (Assisting with collecting patients awaiting treatment, support for waiting families and care of children) • Flowers (arranging flowers in wards and providing flowers for specific areas) • Library (Circulating books, magazines in wards / clinics / waiting areas. Patient contact involved) • Transit Lounge (Supporting patients waiting to be discharged, serving refreshments) • Wards / Clinic Service (includes patient visitations, diversional therapy activities in wards and clinic units) • Playroom (child care 0-8year olds while parents visit patients or patients attending appointments) • Various Reception support duties in Neo Natal and Reception Desk 4C • Cancer services (support for waiting visitors and patients) • Mental Health (Diversional therapy activities, craft for patients) • Paediatrics (Support and Diversional Therapy for patients 0-18 year olds)
