Focus on Youth provides assistance and support for youth with a disABILITY. We have found the youth have more abilities than any disability. The youth with support staff are transported to new and exciting locations on Saturdays and occasionally school holidays. Volunter drivers play an essential role in enabling our young people to get out in the community.
We are looking for someone to share the bus driving. We provide support and assistance two to three Saturdays a month. We currently have two volunteers to share the driving but need to use other vehicles if both drivers are not available. The driver needs a manual car licence. Experience with driving vans will help. The youth have mild or moderate disabilities and are accompanied by trained staff.
This volunteer enjoys the locations along with the youth and other staff. Just drive the bus or become involved in the planning of activities and training.
