Bankfoot House Conservation Volunteer

Assist in basic collection management duties
Undertaking basic preventative conservation treatments, monitoring, packing and supporting artefacts
Undertake regular preventative conservation duties, such as cleaning of Bankfoot House and exhibition spaces
Participate in collection background research, digitisation of images and documents
Attend training sessions on collection management and conservation
Undertake data entry, sorting, cataloguing collection items, labelling, crosschecking, packing artefacts, shelving and some item identification.
The Bankfoot House Conservation Volunteer should possess the following attributes:

Have basic computing skills
Communicate well with a willingness to listen and learn
Attention to detail, have patience and physical dexterity
An ability to work within Workplace Health & Safety requirements
An ability and willingness to work constructively with other volunteers and employees to nurture a positive attitude and work environment Training
