UniSport Photography Volunteer

• Identify and capture images to be used by UniSport media and marketing channels with full usage rights. • Meet strict edited image deadlines during event time • Assist in the Download, labeling, sorting/selection, editing and supply of digital imagery daily during the event • The distribution of your edited photos via internet portal for dissemination by UniSport • Other duties as required
Is this role for you? The photography volunteer role would suit a person studying photography and someone who has their own photography equipment.
We are looking for someone who:
✓ Has their own DSLR camera with telephoto lens ✓ Experience in dealing with a wide variety of people ✓ Good computer skills and your own laptop ✓ Ability to priorities and meet deadlines ✓ DSLR photography experience ✓ Ability to work as part of a team ✓ Well-developed customer service and problem solving skills ✓ Ability to take initiative ✓ A friendly and approachable manner ✓ Attend compulsory training sessions to ensure that you are familiar with event policies and procedures ✓ Attend the entire duration of the Nationals ✓ Wear the event uniform as required and be neatly groomed at all times ✓ Conduct self in a professional manner by being punctual, reliable and neatly groomed at all times
Key information:
• This is an event time, volunteer role requiring availability across a minimum of for shifts (you can choose between an AM or PM shift/s) for: 28 Sep - 3 Oct 2019 • No accommodation or travel expenses will be covered. • The volunteer is responsible for the insurance and safety of their photographic gear. • Image copyright remains with the volunteer for their portfolio post event. UniSport will have full usage rights. • A full online induction to UniSport, uniform and meals (when on shift) will be provided
What to bring: • Plenty of (charged) batteries (2 or 3 see me through a day's shooting) • Cleared SD cards (a couple of 32gb cards will be plenty if shooting jpg) • Ideal gear to use: 70-200mm f2.8 lens on a full frame body • Second body: a 24-70 for group shots, or obstacles where you'll be close to competitors
