Fundraising Coordinator

Working with the CEO and other dedicated and passionate volunteers, you be responsible for developing and implementing The Carers Foundation fundraising framework. Build on our existing activities and take us to the next level by identifying proven and innovative methods and approaches to fundraising. This may include supporting marketing campaigns driven through social media, Foundation-led or external events or leveraging corporate sponsorship partnerships.

Key responsibilities: • Development, implementation and ongoing management of strategies relating to key community and event-based fundraising. • Preparation of promotional materials to support fundraising activities. • Identification of opportunities to acquire in-kind support or contributions. • With support, development and delivery of operational fundraising event plans and projects including risk management, tasks, timelines and volunteer management. • Working with other volunteers, development and implementation of a marketing plan for community and event-based fundraising. • Development of a system to track, evaluate and monitor the performance of fundraising activities. • Maintenance of a donor database and organisation of national fundraising licences.

Desirable professional experience: • Development of high-level fundraising strategy for a not-for-profit. • Project management of events-based and community fundraising campaigns. • Managing the operations and logistics of events using volunteers. • Developing, implementing and monitoring risk management plans for events. • Writing promotional copy and communicating successfully with a wide range of clients and stakeholders.

Personal skills include: • Understanding and empathy for the challenges faced by family carers • Ability to work within The Carers Foundation mission and values • Ability to work autonomously but collaboratively • Self-motivated, creative and ability to get things done within the financial constraints of small, start-up charity • High integrity and reliability • Ability to take direction but also use initiative • Respect for the confidentiality of our carers

This is a great opportunity for an experienced volunteer to help a small NFP with big aspirations or for someone starting out who would like to build experience for their CV. Opportunity to make your mark and drive us forward. How many hours you commit is open, however, a minimum of 3 hours per week is desirable and the work can be completed remotely.
