Who doesn't love a massage, our patients certainly do! Our volunteers provide 10-20min hand or foot massages to patients, which helps to relieve tension, reduce pain and stiffness, increase circulation, and releases endorphins. It is also an opportunity for patients to have some non-clinical touch. Volunteers provide 10-20 minute hand or foot massages to patients, and don't need any prior massage experience.

We ask people to volunteer regularly (e.g. weekly) and to make a minimum 12 month commitment to volunteering.

Volunteers attend a Hospital Orientation Session and Program Specific Training, which provides the practical skills to provide massages to patients. The Volunteer Services Manager provides volunteers with ongoing support to undertake their role.
