Catering and Fire Pit Volunteer - Dirty Days (Mountain Bike Event)

  • Requirements
    • Driver's Licence (C)

    - Competent mountain bike cyclist
    -18 years of age and over
    - Driver's Licence (or ability to travel independently to and from the designated
    - First Aid qualification
    - Very good understanding of safe food handling practices/techniques
    - Ability to set up and cook on a BBQ
    - Ability to light and maintain fires in a fire pit
    - Able to take direction and arrive on time at the designated location

    Please note: As each organisation provides levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Volunteer Personal Accident Insurance).

We are seeking volunteers who are over 18 years of age, have an very good understanding of safe food handling practices and also safe management of fires. They would need to provide their own transport. The Dirty Days mountain bike events for 2019 will be held on:

  • #1 Sunday 23 June - Cobbler Creek
  • #2 Sunday 21 July - Craigburn Farm
  • #3 Sunday 18 August - Eagle MTB Park
  • #4 Sunday 21 October - Fox Creek (Cudlee Creek) The role includes setting up, cooking, serving cleaning and packing up the BBQ, cooking utensils, etc and also safely extinguishing the fire pits. The time frame will be from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm with a sausage sizzle at the end of the event. This is an excellent opportunity to interact with members of the community and extend your interpersonal skills.
