Volunteer by providing social support with a community and development service in Blacktown.

As a social support volunteer you will provide one on one support for frail, aged clients assisting with shopping and visiting at their homes for friendly conversations. Perhaps you will enjoy a board game or card game, complete crosswords and listen to music.

Shifts are 2 hours per fortnight minimum, between 9am - 4pm, weekdays.

This opportunity would suit someone who is looking for a long term commitment, who enjoys the company of older people or who are looking to gain skills and experience in aged care.

Also a great opportunity to meet new people and form friendships through volunteer social outings.

All out of pocket expenses such as travel and phone costs are reimbursed. A car, license and insurance is necessary.

Orientation, training and support are continually offered whilst volunteering with this organisation.
