Port Phillip Youth Services is looking for enthusiastic/ innovative volunteers interested in joining a youth committee to help create, organise and deliver online platforms for local artists (dancers, singers, bands, comedians, poets) to connect with the wider community! We want young people on the committee planning and leading online events to support artists through this difficult time in the performing arts industry. No qualifications are needed, except for a passion to learn and an interest in connecting to the community through different art forms.

FReeZA Youth Committee gives young people the opportunity to: • learn about the performing arts industry and local government • receive mentoring from musicians and artists • gain experience and skills in event planning and management • build your resume while meeting new people • receive free training and free entry to all FReeZa events • plan fun and awesome events • meet new friends and connect

Key Requirements: • interest and/or experience in event management / planning* (if no experience willingness to learn is a must) • a love for live music, performing arts and cultural events • must be aged 15 to 24 years • live, work, study or play in City of Port Phillip • be able to attend online regular meetings on Tuesdays from 4pm-5:30pm and occasionally work events.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: • the planning and management of music, dance and arts events • booking of performers – bands, DJS , dancers, other artists, venues and vendors • audio visual / sound production • promotion and marketing support • coordination with other members and tasks of the committee • providing support on the day of events
